Droccy 2.0A new chapter.
Still your Droccy.

We’re building native apps for Android, Windows and Linux, alongside improvements to the website. A modern, easier-to-use experience with the Droccy look you know.

Explore the plan

More native. More intuitive. Familiar at heart.

The focus is making everyday conversations feel better: clearer menus, thoughtful layouts and apps built for their platforms. Private communication, your UUID identity and Droccy’s visual style remain central to the plan.

The road to 2.0

Four stages. One complete release.

Android comes first. Desktop and website work are also underway, with each stage bringing the full release closer.

  1. Current focus

    Android first

Bring the native Android experience together: clearer navigation, familiar Droccy styling, and connected chats, Spaces, calls and sharing. Finish integration with the website and test everyday use on real phones.

  2. Next milestone

    Complete native desktop

Build on the Windows and Linux work already underway. Connect the remaining features to real accounts, including calls and Spaces, and make the apps comfortable to use with a mouse and keyboard.

  3. Before launch

    Prepare the release candidate

Bring the apps and website together as a candidate for 2.0. Prepare native installers and updates, then check that upgrading from the current apps keeps access to accounts and conversations working.

  4. Release milestone

    Test, polish, release

Check the complete experience across Android, Windows, Linux and the web, including accessibility, notifications and interrupted connections. Resolve release blockers before publishing the final apps and release notes.

What to expect before launch

Preview builds help us test and refine the apps. They’re work in progress, and don’t mark the final 2.0 release. The launch announcement will confirm availability when the complete experience is ready.

The current Droccy website and published apps remain available while we work toward 2.0.
